Nirbhaya

Parisha Dutta:

She was trembling with fear as they threw her out,

Pressed her mouth when she tried to shout.

Tore her clothes million times apart,

No-one can feel the way she was hurt.

She was travelling in a bus with the love of her life,

A life so beautiful, her career was at thrive.

Happy she was, a woman so bold;

But faced the worst which made her life cold.

Six men sitting there watched her through,

And the demon inside them started to grow.

Grasped her body as they were feeding on her,

To answer her screams, stopped no car.

Her friend gave his hand but was hit by a rod,

Collapsed to the ground while she prayed to God.

They were tearing her organs, silence felt her dread;

Helpless and ripped, she was lying there naked.

Fought her death, she was a girl so brave;

Tired of the pain, had to face the grave.

She deserved her life but I say with grieve,

Her last words were, “Maa, I want to live.”
